LONGJON LA FLECHA
This Venezuelan band is inspired by the likes of Alejandro Jodorowsky, Miguel Pinero and Bola de Nieve, and their self-penned music takes descarga funk to the realms of storytelling psych. The band’s first single “Descarga Confusa” has been played by DJ’s in clubs in London and around the world and has featured twice on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Radio show on BBC1.
Using a minimal set up but still obtaining a unique deep sound, their shows have been causing a stir in the UK in performances at Lovebox Festival, Notting Hill Arts Club, South Bank, Cafe Cairo and Global (Copenhagen), to name just a few.
