Hounslow and Barking prepare for upcoming Night of Festivals this summer!

Hounslow and Barking are readying themselves for the Night of Festivals events set to run on 11th and 12th and the 18th and 19th July respectively. The opportunities to become part of our amazing costumed sections of Carnival in Hounslow have already been a huge success (and places are almost full) – but there are still participation places up for grabs in Barking! See more about how you can participate here.

After the huge success of our recent Night of Festivals’ “Great Weekend” event in Lincoln, Hounslow is set to follow in its footsteps with equally extravagant Carnival processions. Our fabulous participants have already completed first rehearsals and will soon be ready to show off the incredible array of costumes and puppets to the Hounslow public!

Preparation is also underway for the busy schedule of Festival activities planned for Barking. Workshops with families, community groups, children and young people are taking place this week to create ‘freedom flags’ for our performance dome that will be placed in the Abbey Green site. Our storytelling ‘yurt’ and moving image Nanoplex caravan are also being readied for the busy programme planned for the Barking weekend. Those interested in participating in Barking’s costumed activities should email as soon as possible – first rehearsals start on 20th/21st June!
